Marianne Gontarz York, M.S.W., L.C.S.W. is a photographer, social worker and gerontologist whose career spans thirty-five years. Her photographs capture the spirit of strong elders living meaningful lives as well as the strength and joy of intergen-
erational ties.

Additionally, she has successfully used phototherapy to explore memories, thoughts and feelings with older adults as well as train professionals and nonprofess-
ionals to use photographs as an adjunct tool in their work.
